Mary Houle is an active member with the College of Massage Therapy of British Columbia. She has been practicing massage therapy for four years. After traveling and working in different countries and provinces Mary is eager to build up her massage therapy practice here in Nelson. Her training and schooling has always been health oriented and people focused. Mary completed a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology with a minor in psychology at the University of Windsor before attending and graduating from Sutherland Chan School of Massage Therapy in Toronto. Mary has worked on clients with various conditions including chronic headaches, fibromyalgia, thoracic outlet syndrome, tendonitis and sciatic pain. Sports massage, trigger point work, myofascial and joint mobilization all fall within Mary’s scope of practice and are integrated regularly into her treatments. She hopes to pursue further education in stretching modalities and rehabilitation training.
